Former reporter joins Star Public Relations

Welcome to Cathy Dobbs, who has joined Star Public Relations as a PR consultant.

Cathy joins the agency with 18 years of media experience, which began when she was a reporter working at the Shrewsbury Chronicle and then as news editor for the North Shropshire Chronicle. She also worked for a decade at the Express & Star as an education reporter and then a features writer.

Following her career in journalism, which also included a stint in Newcastle at the Evening Chronicle, Cathy spent a number of years working as a freelance PR manager.

Cathy said: “I am really thrilled to be at Star Public Relations. It’s a relatively new agency so it’s going to be very exciting to help it grow and thrive. I’m looking forward to working with the existing clients and helping to bring new business into the agency.”

Agency director, Sundeep Sehijpal, said: “Cathy has a great combination of journalism and PR skills, which will make her a fine asset to the agency. My aim is to grow the Star PR and establish it as a high quality, reputable agency, which delivers a first-class PR service for clients. Having Cathy on the team will help achieve this.”
